Below are architects' plans drawn in 1982 by the firm Heery-Fabrap, the designers of Allen E. Paulson Stadium. These plans show the original 4 Phases of construction that were to increase seating capacity to 50,000 seats. The plans also show "possible future additions" that would boost seating to 60,000 plus.
These plans were commissioned by Georgia Southern Athletics and Southern Boosters, Inc. in anticipation of the Eagles playing at the highest possible level of NCAA-sanctioned football within one or two decades of the initial construction of the stadium. The individuals responsible for building Paulson Stadium were dreamers, and we should embrace and respect their vision for "Our House".
